2013 Indiegogo Campaign

For the past four years, White Rabbit has grown as an opportunity for artists to experiment in a truly unique rural Nova Scotia setting. It is a wonderful chance for artists to make environmentally responsive and site-specific work. The strength of the festival lies not only in its unique setting but also in the networks and bonds that have been created between the artists-in-residence, the mentoring artists, and the community.

What we need

Being a small arts organization with a large impact, we rely on funding that comes from granting sources. This year we, like many other arts organizations, are feeling the effects of government cuts to the arts and culture sector and are seeking alternative ways to support our yearly residency and festival. The funding we raise through Indiegogo in 2013 will allow us to support our visiting artists, hire mentoring artists to provide technical and artistic support, and host a final community showcase of the work with music and dinner. Any additional funds we raise will go towards the future sustainability of White Rabbit.

What you get

In exchange for your support, you receive all of our gratitude and the knowledge that you helped keep White Rabbit alive and well! We have some special perks for those of you who are able to donate a little more. These perks include many pieces of art donated by past White Rabbit participants, mentoring artists, and volunteers. Any donors will be recognized and commemorated by having their name included in an installation on the Red Clay property.

Other Ways You Can Help

If you are not able to make a donation, we understand and would be grateful if you helped us get the word out about our campaign. We are also accepting residency applications until May 15th, 2013. Visit our Call for Submissions for more information if you’re interested in being a participant.

We look forward to seeing you this summer!
