WHITE RABBIT ARTS FESTIVAL August 15 - 16, 2015, Upper Economy, NS

On August 15th and 16th White Rabbit Arts invites you to experience dynamic new artwork celebrating the the natural environment of stunning Upper Economy, Nova Scotia on the Bay of Fundy. Invited Ballast Project artists Helmut Lemke (UK), Lindsay Dobbin (NS), and Sally Morgan (ON) have lead 16 artists in residence in creating a maze of outdoor installation works, complemented by boundary pushing musical performances.

Tickets to the overnight festival include artist led tours on forest trails, camping, breakfast, a wood fired sauna, swimming, Red Clay Pirate Radio and musical performances by Alana Yorke, Special Costello, JOYFULTALK, Parliament, Gift From God, Chik White, Sockfoot, DJ KAZ_KANDY.

Exhibiting week-long artists in residence presenting works are Michael Barraco (NY, USA), April Bartlett (YT), Brittany Brooks (ON), Alexis Bulman (PEI), Nancy Cole (PEI), Lauren Fournier (ON), Andrew Godsalve (AB), Courtney Harris (NS), Rosa Iuliucci (NS), Catie Lune (NS), Andrew Patterson (NS), Annalise Prodor (NS), A Reid (MA, USA), Kim Sheppard (NS), Susan Tooke (NS), Stephanie Young (NS). The Ballast Project invites three established artists to develop substantial new works over the course of three weeks. These artists live and work together in a generative atmosphere, creating projects centred on process-oriented inquiry of process, site and collaboration.
